Over the years, Erb Law has been home to many local and international interns.

Summer 2005 Law Clerk Alumni

Jasmine Anderson attends Roxborough High School. She worked at The Erb Law firm, PC as part of the Youth Works Program for the summer. She is in her junior year of school. Outside of work and school, she enjoys singing and shopping. After finishing high school, she plans to go to college and study family law because she wants to be a lawyer.

Dominique Jarrett is a student at Roxborough High School. She is in the High Tech Program in which they receive extra computer and communication skills. She worked at The Erb Law Firm, PC as part of the Youth Works summer program. Outside of school she enjoys shopping and attending basketball games. She is in her junior year of school. She plans to go to school for nursing and law in order to achieve her goal of being a lawyer or nurse.

International Intern Alumni

Laurent Thailly has returned to Lyon, France and was formally admitted to the Bar of the City of Lyon in December, 2005.

Laurent was an intern at The Erb Law Firm, from March to September 2005, thanks to the Lyon-Philadelphia Attorney Exchange Program. Laurent went to college in Lyon and received a Post-Graduate Degree in Business Law in 2001 from the Jean Moulin Lyon III School of Law. In 2002, he graduated with an LL.M. in European Business Law from the Catholic University in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. Laurent then attended the Lyon Bar School, where he received his JD in December 2004.

Before coming to the Erb Law Firm Laurent has been an intern with both the European Commission and the European Court of Justice. During his legal studies, he also had the opportunity to do internships with several French law firms, focusing on corporate, contracts, distribution law and international matters.

Elisa Jaehner has returned to Berlin, Germany, where she is studying for the German bar exam. Kelly, Chris and family were able to catch up with Elisa in Berlin in December 2004, and hope to visit again in June 2006.

While at The Erb Law Firm, PC, in 2004, Elisa concentrated on international corporate and estate matters.

Laurence Chevalier, a French lawyer from St. Etienne (near Lyon), France, was an intern at The Erb Law Firm, PC in spring and summer 2003. She was in Philadelphia as part of a six month internship under the Lyon-Philadelphia Attorney Exchange Program and has now returned to France.

After completing her A level, Laurence went to college in France and received her Master's Degree in Business Law in 2000 from St. Etienne University School of Law. She then received her postgraduate diploma in tax law from Bourgogne University in Dijon in 2001.

Laurence received her JD in November 2002 from the Lyon "EDA" Law School and decided to apply for the exchange proposal between lawyers from Philly and Lyon.

During her law studies, she had the opportunity to do internships in France in law firms which focus on business and tax law in matters such as income and corporate tax, international tax issues, tax compliance work and tax controversy.

Alban Curral was an intern with The Erb Law Firm PC in spring and summer 2002. Originally from Lyon, Alban is now working in Paris. For some reason the remainder of Alban's bio has gone missing, which we will rectify shortly! Sorry, Alban!

Lorenzo Bacciardi returned to his law firm in Italy, Bacciardi & Partners, as partner. Prior to that he was a law clerk at the Erb Law Firm, PC. His practice areas include, general corporate, business, contract, and tax law. He also has experience in corporate and tax issues related to foreign investments made by Italian corporations through foreign subsidiaries and joint ventures.

Lorenzo has his JD from the Urbino University School of Law in Urbino, Italy and his LL.M in international legal studies from Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia, PA. While at the Urbino University School of Law, Lorenzo was a visiting student at Darbys Solicitors, LLP in Oxford, England.

After law school, Lorenzo joined Bacciardi & Partners as an associate, where he focused on Italian and international corporate and tax matters. He established corporations, drafted contracts, and advised clients on Italian and cross-border corporate and trade transactions. He also presented a series of conferences as a guest lecturer on Norms and Processes Concerning the Globalization of Companies in cooperation with Ramapo College of New Jersey and the Urbino University School of Law.

Lorenzo is fluent in Italian, English, and familiar with Spanish. He is a member of Eurojuris International, which is the largest European network of law firms, covering more than 650 cities in 19 countries. He is also a member of the International Law Society, the American Bar Association student division, and the European Law Students Association.
