The IRS has announced that due to an increase in gas prices, they are increasing the standard mileage rates for business, medical and moving purposes as of midyear. The standard mileage rates for miles driven July 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011 are now:

• 55.5 cents per mile for business miles driven
• 23.5 cents per mile driven for medical or moving purposes
• 14 cents per mile driven in service of charitable organizations

Mileage rates for the first part of the year, January 1, 2011 through June 30, 2011, will remain as follows:

• 51 cents per mile for business miles driven
• 19 cents per mile driven for medical or moving purposes
• 14 cents per mile driven in service of charitable organizations

Happy Independence Day to our Canadian friends who celebrate just a bit earlier than we do!

Our office will be closed on Monday, July 4, 2011, in honor of Independence Day for the United States. Enjoy your holiday weekend and celebrate responsibly!

As in years past, our office will close early on Fridays throughout the summer beginning on Memorial Day weekend and ending on Labor Day weekend.

This means that we will close the office on Fridays at 2pm. We will have extended hours throughout the beginning of each week in order to ensure that our clients still receive excellent service.
