Erica A. Intzekostas
Erica Intzekostas \ in-(t)ze-’koh-stas \ is a senior associate at Erblaw. Erica specializes in business law, contracts, trademarks, and privacy.
During her pre-Erblaw life, Erica worked at a law firm in Center City for the better part of a decade. Two of those years were devoted to producing two government-commissioned reports on the interplay between privacy law and the use of biometric recognition technology. The first report focused on the United States and the second report focused on the privacy laws of the EU and other countries. Erica spoke about the findings of the reports to government officials and industry executives at the 2005 Biometric Consortium Conference. Erica was also the Editor-in-Chief of the firm’s legal newsletter. Erica is a regular contributer to our blog where she writes about trademarks, employment law, technology law, privacy, and other legal topics. You can check out Erica’s blogs on Erblawg.com.
When not practicing law, Erica can usually be found at either the yoga studio or at Bridge Club of Center City, which her husband David owns and is where they met. Erica and David teach bridge to beginners Thursday evenings. Erica also enjoys horseback riding but, living in Center City, does not get to ride much. She is still holding out hope that they reopen the public stables in Fairmount Park.
Erica received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Rochester in 1993, her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1996, a Masters of Law in Taxation (LL.M) from Villanova University in 1997, and a Certificate in Employee Benefits from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2004.
Erica is admitted to the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and District of Columbia bars.
