Employment-Based Visas

• Obtained visas for computer programmers, a theological librarian, and other computing professionals based on their education and abilities (H-1B);

• Obtained immigrant visas for consultants working in the United States for multinational consulting firms as well as for computer professionals in small and large corporations;

• Obtained visas for Canadian and Mexican citizens entering the United States (TN);

• Prepared applications and obtained visas to allow US and other computer and management consultants to enter and work in other foreign countries, including Canada, Ghana, and Argentina.

• Advised employers on compliance with the verification, recordkeeping, and anti-discrimination provisions of US immigration law;

• Provided corporate transferees and other visa holders with comprehensive advice and planning regarding the income tax and social security aspects of working in the United States, including paying into foreign social security systems and treatment of pension income while in the United States;

• Prepared estate plans and documents for Canadian, Philippine and UK citizens who reside in the United States;

• Probate of estates involving property in Italy and the Philippines;

• Corporate income tax and withholding advice pertaining to visa holders;

• Assisted a US aerospace company in its efforts to comply with export laws limiting the access of nonimmigrant visa holders to sensitive technology.
